The project demolition was delayed, which resulted in delaying the pouring of the new slabs and all the new work installation. Compounded by the buildings roof membrane not in place in March, combined with massive amounts of water coming in the building, coordinating the delivery and installation of the distribution equipment and light fixtures became a mighty task. The Deck 0 electrical and telecommunication room slab, was not poured until the 1 st week of June.
With the completion date firmly fixed, the impact to the schedule resulted in necessary “out of sequence” construction activities and doubling the estimated crew size at the peak of the bell curve in order to compensate for lost time. Throughout the project, extensive prefabrication helped aid in the recovery.
Because of the hard work and dedication of the Primo employees, the building is on track to open on time with all systems in place. |
